Sejarah

1337x dibuat pada tahun 2007 dan popularitasnya mulai meningkat setelah penutupan KickassTorrents.[2] Pada bulan Oktober 2016, 1337x memperkenalkan desain ulang situs webnya dengan fungsionalitas yang baru.[2][4] Situs web ini diblokir dari kueri pencarian Google dan tidak muncul ketika mencari melalui Google Search.[2][4] Tindakan ini diambil setelah permintaan dari Feelgood Entertainment pada tahun 2015.[2][5] Pada tahun 2015, situs web ini bermigrasi dari domain .pl yang lama ke .to, sebagian untuk menghindari pemblokiran.[2][4][6]
