AO-222 adalah senapan serbu buatan Rusia yang merupakan turunan dari AK-47, senapan ini dapat diisi dengan magazen senapan AK-47 dan AN-94 meski menggunakan peluru 5,45 x 39 mm. Perbedaan yang signifikan dari AK-47 dan AN-94 adalah, sistem pengisian magazen yang berada di sebelah kanan senapan.
