A New World Record merupakan album studio keenam oleh Electric Light Orchestra (ELO). Album tersebut dirilis pada Oktober 1976 di Amerika Serikat,[1] dan pada 19 November 1976 di Britania Raya.[2][3] A New World Record menandakan bergesernya ELO menuju lagu-lagu pop yang lebih pendek, suatu tren yang berlanjut sepanjang karier mereka.

A New World Record merupakan album kedua mereka yang direkam di Musicland Studios di Munich, album tersebut merupakan album yang sukses di Britania Raya setelah ketiga album ELO sebelumnya tidak terlalu sukses di Britania Raya. A New World Record terjual sebanyak lima juta keping di seluruh dunia dalam tahun pertama album tersebut dirilis. Terdapat empat singel dari album tersebut yaitu "Livin' Thing", "Telephone Line","Rockaria!", dan "Do Ya", yang merupakan lagu dari The Move yang dibuat ulang.
