Penerimaan
A Sainted Devil menerima tanggapan kurang baik oleh Photoplay, mengatakan bahwa film ini "tidak memiliki kekuatan, serta pesona Monsieur Beaucaire. Alasannya antara lain cerita roman Rex Beach diceritakan secara aneh dan Rudy dirinya tidak terlihat menjiwai pada saat emosional yang penuh tekanan, dibalut dengan cerita yang tidak penting dan tidak adanya faktor penting seperti sensasi besar".[4]
