Aadchit El Qsair (Arab: عدشيت القصير), atau hanya Aadchit (Arab: عدشيت), adalah sebuah munisipalitas di Distrik Marjayoun di Lebanon Selatan.

Etimologi

Menurut E. H. Palmer, nama Atshis berasal dari nama pribadi.[1]

Sejarah

Pada tahun 1875, Victor Guérin mendapati bahwa desa ini berpenduduk kaum Metuali.[2]

Pada tahun 1881, PEF melalui Survei Palestina Barat (SWP) menggambarkannya sebagai: "sebuah desa kecil, yang dibangun dari lumpur dan batu, menampung sekitar 100 orang Metawileh, terletak di punggung bukit rendah yang dikelilingi oleh taman-taman kecil dan pepohonan zaitun. Pasokan air berasal dari empat buah penampungan air yang dipahat di batu."[3]

Demografi

Pada tahun 2014, umat Muslim mencakup 99,71% pemilih terdaftar di Aadshit. Sebanyak 98,84% dari pemilih tersebut adalah Muslim Syiah.[4]
