Johann Adam Weishaupt (6 Februari 1748 – 18 November 1830) seorang filsuf asal Jerman, pendiri Ordo Illuminati. Walaupun dibesarkan di lingkungan Yesuit, pada akhirnya ia menyimpang dari ajaran ordo tersebut dan pada 1 Mei 1776 dengan bantuan Adolph Freiherr Knigge, ia mendirikan suatu ordo baru "Order of Perfectibilists" yang selanjutnya dikenal dengan nama Illuminati. Ordo ini memiliki misi untuk menghapuskan semua pemerintahan monarki dan agama.
