Aelia Capitolina (nama lengkap dalam bahasa Latin: COLONIA ÆLIA CAPITOLINA) adalah sebuah koloni Romawi, yang dibangun di bawah kepemimpinan kaisar Hadrian di wilayah Yerusalem, yang runtuh sejak pengepungan tahun 70 Masehi,[1] yang membuat terjadinya kerusuhan Bar Kokhba pada 132–136 AD. Aelia Capitolina masih menjadi nama resmi Yerusalem sampai tahun 638 Masehi ketika tentara Arab menaklukan kota tersebut dan mengganti namanya menjadi 'إلياء' (Iliyā').[2]
