Air Maldives adalah maskapai penerbangan nasional pertama di Maladewa. Maskapai ini didirikan pada 1 Oktober 1974 selama kepresidenan Ibrahim Nasir. Basis utamanya adalah Bandara Internasional Malé.
Setelah operasi selama sekitar 26 tahun, maskapai ini menyatakan kebangkrutan dengan kerugian diperkirakan mencapai antara AS$69.200.000,[1] dan menghentikan semua operasi pada tahun 2000.
