Mineral agregat heliotrope ( dari bahasa Yunani Kuno ἥλιος (hḗlios), artinya "sun", dan τρέπειν (trépein), artinya "to turn" ), juga dikenal sebagai akik darah atau nogosui ,adalah campuran cryptocrystalline kuarsa yang sebagian besar muncul sebagai jasper (buram) atau terkadang sebagai kalsedon (tembus cahaya). Akik darah "klasik" adalah badar hijau buram dengan inklusi hematit merah. Inklusi merah mungkin menyerupai bintik-bintik darah, maka namanya akik darah.
Nama heliotrope berasal dari berbagai gagasan kuno tentang cara mineral memantulkan cahaya. Gagasan seperti itu dijelaskan, misalnya, oleh Pliny the Elder ( Nat. Hist. 37.165).[1]

Telah ditemukan di Australia Barat, Brasil, Bulgaria, Ceko, Italia, Nova Scotia, dan banyak lokasi di Amerika Serikat .[2] Ada juga kemunculan akik darah di Isle of Rum, di Skotlandia .[3]
