Alternanthera angustifolia (joyweed daun sempit)[1] adalah terna kecil dalam keluarga Amaranthaceae[2] yang banyak ditemukan di pedalaman Australia, mulai dari utara Australia Barat, Teritorial Utara, Australia Selatan, New South Wales hingga Queensland.[1]

Tumbuhan ini merupakan terna tahunan yang tumbuh menjalar (atau rebah), dengan tinggi mencapai 2 cm hingga 30 cm, tumbuh di tanah berpasir di tepi sungai dan anak sungai. Bunganya yang kecil[3] berwarna putih dapat dilihat dari bulan April hingga Agustus.[2]

Alternanthera angustifolia pertama kali dideskripsikan pada tahun 1810 oleh Robert Brown.[4]
