André Thevet
André Thevet (/təˈveɪ/; bahasa Prancis: [təvɛ]; 1516 – 23 November 1590) adalah seorang imam Fransiskan, penjelajah, kosmografer dan penulis asal Prancis yang menjelajahi Timur Dekat dan Amerika Selatan pada abad ke-16. Buku paling signifikan buatannya adalah The New Found World, or Antarctike yang mengkompilasikan sejumlah sumber berbeda dan pengalamannya sendiri dalam apa yang disebut sebagai catatan tangan pertama dari penglaman-pengalamannya di Prancis Antarctique, sebuah pemukiman Prancis di dekat kota modern Rio de Janeiro.
