Anna Rubin

Anna Rubin (lahir 1946) adalah seorang komposer musik elektroakustik dan instrumental Amerika.[1]

Biografi

Anna Rubin belajar dengan komposer Mel Powell, Earle Brown, Pauline Oliveros, dan Paul Lansky, dan lulus dengan gelar doktor dalam komposisi dari Universitas Princeton . Setelah menyelesaikan studinya, ia mengajar komposisi di Oberlin Conservatory of Music di Oberlin College . Dia juga mengajar di Lafayette College dan pada tahun 2002 mengambil posisi mengajar di University of Maryland, Baltimore County .[1]

Rubin adalah anggota American Music Center, merupakan salah satu pendiri Independent Composers Association of LA, menjabat di dewan redaksi Perspectives of New Music, dan pernah menjabat sebagai presiden International Alliance for Women in Music .[2] Rubin adalah penulis artikel profesional tentang karya komposer Francis Dhomont .[3]
