Asesulfam adalah pemanis buatan nonkalori yang disebut juga asesulfam kalium . Di Uni Eropa, pemanis buatan ini berkode E950.[1] Asesulfam ditemukan secara tidak sengaja pada tahun 1967 oleh ahli kimia Jerman, Karl Clauss, yang saat itu bekerja di Hoechst AG (kini Nutrinova).[2]
