Astrid Allwyn (nee Astrid Christofferson; (27 November 1905 – 31 Maret 1978) adalah seorang aktris panggung dan aktris film Amerika. Allwyn lahir di South Manchester, Connecticut,[1] bagian dari keluarga yang terdiri dari empat saudara perempuan dan seorang saudara laki-laki. Saat dia berumur 3 tahun, keluarganya pindah ke Springfield, Massachusetts.[2]

Pada usia 13 tahun, dia bernyanyi dengan cukup baik di sebuah konser untuk ditawari beasiswa ke Konservatorium Musik Boston, tetapi dia menolak daripada pindah dari rumahnya. Setelah menyelesaikan sekolah menengah, dia pindah ke New York, berharap untuk berkarier sebagai penyanyi konser, tetapi dia akhirnya mengambil kelas di perguruan tinggi bisnis dan menjadi juru ketik untuk bisnis di Wall Street.[3]
