Astronomi India merujuk pada penelitian astronomi di subbenua India. Astronomi dan astrologi India Kuno (Jyotisha) berdasarkan dari sistem sidereal. Sistem tropis juga digunakan. Contohnya, penentuan tropis Uttarayana (Uttarāyana उत्तरायन) dapat ditemui dalam Mahabharata[butuh rujukan], dan juga dalam Vedanga Jyotisha dari Lagadha.[1]
