Autotomi

Autotomi adalah sebuah perilaku hewan di mana hewan tersebut secara spontan memutuskan bagian ekornya atau organ tubuh untuk melindungi diri. Salah satu hewan yang dapat melakukannya adalah cecak. Beberapa reptil pada umumnya akan ditemukan memotong bagian ekor saat sedang merasa terancam misalnya ketika diserang oleh predator.[1]
