Bahasa Susu
Bahasa Susu (bahasa Prancis: Soussou) adalah bahasa Afrika Barat yang dituturkan di Guinea dan Sierra Leone. Bahasa ini termasuk dalam rumpun bahasa Mande, serta berkaitan erat dengan bahasa Bahasa Yalunka .
Bahasa Susu merupakan salah satu bahasa nasional yang ada di Guinea, dan biasanya dituturkan di wilayah pesisir Guinea.
Sejarah
Bahasa Susu telah digunakan oleh orang-orang di wilayah pesisir Guinea dan Sierra Leone sebagai basantara (bahasa perantara).
Literatur paling awal dalam bahasa Susu adalah terjemahan dari tujuh pasal pertama Injil Matius oleh John Godfrey Wilhelm dari Church Mission Society. hasil terjemahan tersebut kemudian diterbitkan di London sebagai "Lingjili Matthew" pada tahun 1816. Setelahnya, Wilhelm mulai menerjemahkan sebagian besar kitab Perjanjian Baru, tetapi hanya sebagian kecil saja dari hasil terjemahan itu yang mulai dicetak.
