Bandeirantes ([bɐ̃dejˈɾɐ̃t(ʃ)is]), harfiah "pembawa bendera", adalah budak, penjelajah, petualang, dan pemburu harta pada awal Brasil Kolonial. Mereka sebagian besar bertanggung jawab atas perluasan besar Brasil ke arah barat, jauh melampaui Perjanjian Tordesillas 1494, dimana Paus Yulius II membagi benua baru menjadi bagian barat, Kastila, dan bagian timur, Portugal.[1] Ekspedisi Bandeirantes disebut entradas (serangan) jika mereka resmi atau Bandeiras (ekspedisi, kampanye) jika mereka bersifat pribadi. Istilah terakhir inilah yang menjadi asal mula nama "Bandeirante" yang dari segi semantik berarti "orang yang mengikuti bendera".
