Baning Floreana ( Chelonoidis niger niger ), juga dikenal sebagai baning pulau Charles , adalah subspesies baning Galápagos yang telah punah dan endemik di kepulauan Galápagos di Samudra Pasifik timur khatulistiwa. Julukan khusus niger ('hitam') mungkin mengacu pada pewarnaan spesimen holotipe. Nama spesies sering salah dieja sebagai nigra , sebuah kesalahan yang terjadi pada tahun 1980-an ketika Chelonoidis diangkat ke genus dan secara keliru dianggap sebagai feminin, sebuah kesalahan yang dikenali dan diperbaiki pada tahun 2017.
