Osteochilus waandersii adalah ikan air tawar cyprinid dari Asia Tenggara .[2][3] Ini ditemukan di Indocina (termasuk Sungai Mekong bagian bawah dan Sungai Chao Phraya ) serta di Sumatera dan Kalimantan . Nama umumnnya adalah bantak.
Habitat
Ia mendiami aliran bawah pegunungan hingga air terjun dataran tinggi. Itu bermigrasi dalam sistem sungai yang lebih besar.[1] Ikan ini bisa pindah ke hutan banjir yang berdekatan dengan aliran dataran tinggi.
Keterangan
Osteochilus waandersii memiliki garis hitam yang jelas di sepanjang sisinya, mulai dari bukaan insang hingga ujung median sinar sirip ekor. Sirip ekor, punggung, dubur, dan perut berwarna oranye cerah atau merah. Tumbuh menjadi 276 cm (109 in) TL .
