Barnes & Noble, Inc. (NYSE: BKS) adalah penjual buku asal Amerika Serikat, beroperasi melalui jaringan toko buku Barnes & Noble Booksellers yang berkantor pusat di 122 Fifth Avenue di Flatiron District, Manhattan, New York City.[4] Barnes & Noble juga mengoperasikan toko-toko B. Dalton Booksellers kecil di sejumlah mal sampai mereka melikuidasi jaringan tersebut. Perusahaan ini terkenal karena tokonya yang besar dan mewah, beberapa di antaranya memiliki kafe yang menyediakan Starbucks Coffee, serta diskon untuk buku laris. Sebagian toko bukunya juga menjual majalah, surat kabar, DVD, novel grafis, hadiah, permainan, dan musik. Permainan video dan barang sejenisnya dijual di toko ritel GameStop milik perusahaan ini sampai Oktober 2004, ketika divisi ini dilepas menjadi perusahaan sendiri. Barnes & Noble juga dikenal karena menjual Barnes & Noble Nook, serta beragam bentuk maskotnya, yaitu boneka beruang bernama "Barnsie".

Perusahaan ini mengoperasikan 689 toko (per 28 Juli 2012) di 50 negara bagian Amerika Serikat selain 667 toko buku kampus yang melayani lebih dari 4,6 juta mahasiswa dan anggota fakultas di seluruh negara ini.[5]
