Ben Kiernan

Benedict F. "Ben" Kiernan (kelahiran 1953 di Melbourne) adalah Profesor Sejarah Whitney Griswold, Profesor Kajian Lapangan dan Mancanegara dan Kepala Program Kajian Genosida di Universitas Yale.

Biografi

Pada awal usia dua puluh tahunan, Kiernan mengunjungi Kamboja namun hengkang sebelum Khmer Merah mengusir seluruh warga asing pada 1975. Meskipun ia tampaknya meragukan skala genosida pada zaman Kamboja Demokrat, ia mengubah pikirannya pada 1978[1][2][3] setelah permulaan serangkaian wawancara dengan ratusan pengungsi asal Kamboja.
