Benetton B190 adalah mobil balap Formula Satu yang dirancang oleh Rory Byrne bekerja sama dengan Direktur Teknis Benetton, John Barnard, seorang desainer dengan pengalaman di perusahaan balap McLaren dan Ferrari dan bisa dibilang sebagai desainer Formula Satu paling sukses di tahun 1980-an dengan mobilnya memenangkan 31 balapan. sejak 1981 (Barnard juga menikmati kesuksesan mendesain efek dasar Chaparral 2K yang memenangkan Indianapolis 500 1980). Geoff Goddard, kepala desainer di Cosworth bertanggung jawab merancang mesin mobil, yang digunakan secara eksklusif untuk Benetton.
