Bioregion

Bioregion adalah area ekologis dan geografis yang lebih kecil daripada wilayah biogeografi, tetapi lebih besar daripada ekoregion atau ekosistem, dalam skema klasifikasi WWF. Ada juga upaya untuk menggunakan istilah ini dalam pengertian yang tidak umum, serupa dengan istilah "area biogeografi" atau "unit biogeografi".[1]

Bioregion mungkin secara konseptual mirip dengan ekoprovinsi.[2] Hal ini juga berbeda digunakan dalam konteks lingkungan, diciptakan oleh Berg dan Dasmann (1977).[3][4]
