Bovinae adalah sebuah subfamili yang tergolong familia Bovidae yang mencakup berbagai kelompok tersebar di 10 genus hewan berkuku jari berukuran medium hingga besar, termasuk sapi domestik, bison, kerbau air, yak, dan antelope.[1] Di banyak tempat, bovinae digunakan sebagai bahan makanan. Sapi dimakan di berbagai tempat kecuali India di mana bovinae dinyatakan sebagai hewan suci umat Hindu.

Relasi terdekat dari subfamili ini adalah suku Boselaphini dan Tragelaphini. Terdapat 13 anggota. Spesies ini hadir melalui proses evolusi selama 5-8 juta tahun. Yang pertama menyebar adalah dari kelompok kerbau, lalu banteng, bison, dan yak.
