Buntut-tumpul[1] adalah genus burung pengicau Dunia Lama dalam keluarga Cettiidae, yang sebelumnya diklasifikasikan dalam keluarga Sylviidae. Genus ini didirikan oleh Robert Swinhoe pada tahun 1877.
Burung kejirah umumnya berwarna coklat di bagian atas dan berwarna lebih terang di bagian bawah dengan rona coklat, abu-abu, atau kekuningan. Mereka mirip dengan genus Cettia tetapi memiliki ekor yang lebih pendek. [2]
