Capreolus adalah genus mamalia cervidae yang mencakup dua spesies rusa roe. Rusa ini berkerabat paling dekat dengan rusa air. Dua spesies Capreolus bersamaan dengan rusa air, berada pada satu kelompok yang dikenal dengan nama Capreolini, yang berkerabat paling dekat dengan rusa besar.[1]
