Cerro Armazones adalah sebuah gunung yang terletak di Sierra Vicuña Mackenna dari Jajaran Pesisir Chili, sekitar 130 km (81 mi) tenggara Antofagasta di Region Antofagasta, Chili. Sebelum pembangunan European Extremely Large Telescope mulai, puncaknya merupakan sebuah titik kontrol horizontal dengan ketinggian 3,046 meter (10 ft).[1] Gunung ini terletak di sebuah zona istimewa untuk astronomi optik karena memiliki 89% malam tanpa awan dalam setahun.[2] Saat ini merupakan lokasi untuk Hexapod-Telescope 15 m (49 ft) dan teleskop lainnya di Observatorium Cerro Armazones.

Pada 26 April 2010, Dewan Observatorium Selatan Eropa memilih Cerro Armazones sebagai lokasi untuk European Extremely Large Telescope yang direncanakan.[3]
