(Jean Baptiste) Charles Dancla (19 Desember 1817 – 10 Oktober 1907) adalah seorang pemain biola, komponis dan guru Prancis.
Biografi
Dancla lahir di Bagnères-de-Bigorre. Saat ia berusia sembilan tahun, pemain biola Pierre Rode di Bordeaux mendengar musiknya; ia terpukau sehingga ia mengirim sebuah surat rekomendasi kepada Pierre Baillot, Luigi Cherubini dan Rodolphe Kreutzer. Karena itu, Dancla diundang ke Konservatorium Paris dan belajar biola dengan Baillot dan belajar komposisi dengan Fromental Halévy. Ia sangat dipengaruhi oleh Niccolò Paganini serta Henri Vieuxtemps.
