Chiloscyllium adalah sebuah genus hiu dalam famili Hemiscylliidae. Genus ini dibedakan dengan moncong yang relatif panjang dengan lubang hidung di bawah ujung. Mata dan tonjolan alisnya hampir tidak terangkat. Mulutnya lebih dekat ke mata dibandingkan ke ujung moncong, dengan lipatan labial bawah biasanya dihubungkan melintasi dagu dengan lipatan kulit. Sirip dada dan sirip perut tipis dan tidak terlalu berotot. Tidak ada tudung hitam di kepala atau bintik hitam besar di bagian samping[1] (walaupun ikan remaja sering kali ditandai dengan bintik/garis hitam).
