Choi Hong-hi (9 November 1918 – 15 Juni 2002) adalah seorang jenderal tentara Korea Selatan dan artis bela diri yang merupakan tokoh kontroversial dalam sejarah seni bela diri Korea taekwondo. Choi dianggap oleh banyak orang sebagai 'Pendiri Taekwondo'-paling sering oleh International Taekwon-Do Federation (ITF) organisasi.[1][2][2][3][4][5] Lainnya, seperti World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) organisasi, menggambarkan Choi baik sebagai penting atau tokoh terhormat dalam sejarah taekwondo, baik oleh menghilangkan dia dari versi mereka tentang sejarah taekwondo[6] atau melalui pernyataan eksplisit.[7]
