Chris Hoy

Sir Christopher Andrew Hoy, MBE (Lahir di Edinburgh, Skotlandia 23 Maret 1976) Sir Christopher Hoy atau nama populer Chris Hoy adalah atlet balap sepeda yang mewakili Inggris Raya yang menjuarai 6 medali emas olimpiade selama kariernya. Ia atlet Inggris Raya yang terbanyak meraih medali emas pada Kejuaraan olahraga terbesar di dunia Olimpiade atau atlet sepeda Inggris Raya yang terbanyak meraih medali emas pada pesta olahraga Olimpiade. Ia mulai mengayuh sepeda di usia 7 tahun. Chris Hoy berkompetisi pada bicycle motocross racing hingga tahun 1991 dan Ia berbelok ke mountain biking. Chris Hoy juga mewakili Skotlandia dan Inggris Raya pada level Junior Championships pada BMX. Hoy mengubah disiplin ke track cycling pada tahun 1992. Pada tahun 1994, Ia menjuarai lomba British Championships pertamanya, sebuah medali perak pada junior sprint. Diusia remaja ia adalah seorang bintang rugby pada George Watson College di kampung halamannya Edinburgh. Ia menamatkan kuliahnya pada Edinburg University pada tahun 1999 dengan gelar kesarjanaan pada bidang sport science. Pada tahun yang sama Ia memenangi senior world championship pertamanya. Chris Hoy meraih medali emas ke-enamnya di pesta Olimpiade London, tahun 2002.[1][2]
