Clemence Dane adalah pseudonim dari Winifred Ashton (21 Februari 1888 – 28 Maret 1965), seorang novelis dan pengarang drama Inggris.
Kehidupan dan karier
Setelah menyelesaikan pendidikannya, ia datang ke Swiss untuk bekerja sebagai guru bahasa Prancis, namun kembali ke kampung halaman setelah setahun. Ia belajar seni rupa di London dan Jerman. Setelah Perang Dunia II, ia mengajar di sekolah khusus perempuan, dan mulai menulis. Ia mengambil nama pseudonim "Clemence Dane" dari gereja St Clement Danes di Strand, London.
