Core War adalah sebuah permainan pemprograman tahun 1984 buatan D. G. Jones dan A. K. Dewdney di mana dua program pertempuran atau lebih (disebut "prajurit") bersaing untuk kontrol atas komputer virtual. Program pertempuran tersebut ditulis dalam bahasa majelis abstrak yang disebut Redcode.
