Craniosynostosis

Craniosynostosis (Kraniosinostosis) adalah kelainan berupa penutupan sambungan tulang kepala yang terlalu dini. Akibat dari penutupan sambungan tulang yang terlalu dini ini adalah bentuk kepala yang lebih kecil daripada normal. Ukuran kepala yang kecil ini karena tulang-tulang kepala tidak dapat berkembang dan disebut sebagai microcephaly atau mikrosefali atau kepala kecil.
