Crax adalah sebuah genus curassow dalam ordo Galliformes, sebuah klad burung tanah berbadan berat yang besar. Mereka dikenal dari Amerika Selatan tropis dengan satu spesies, curassow besar, yang menyebar ke utara melalui Amerika Tengah sampai sejauh Meksiko. Curassow dalam genus tersebut dikenal karena memiliki sifat dimorfisme seksual; penjantannya berwarna lebih tebal ketimbang betina dan memiliki hiasan wajah seperti kebop dan jengger.
