Dalia Sofer (bahasa Persia: دالیا سوفر, lahir 1972) merupakan penulis Amerika Serikat yang lahir di Iran. Saat ini ia tinggal di Kota New York dan menjadi pengajar di City University of New York.[1]
Kehidupan awal dan pendidikan
Lahir di Teheran, Iran, Dalia Sofer tumbuh besar dalam keluarga Yahudi selama Revolusi Iran. Pada usia 11 tahun ia pindah ke Kota New York kemudian ia belajar sastra Prancis di Universitas New York dengan mengambil penulisan kreatif. Ia menerima gelar master dari Sarah Lawrence College. Novel pertamanya berjudul The Septembers of Shirazdipublikasikan pada 2007.
Penghargaan dan pengakuan
Dalia Sofer menerima penghargaan PEN/Robert W. Bingham Prize pada 2008 untuk novelnya berjudul The September of Shiraz. Ia juga memenangi penghargaan Whiting Awards untuk fiksi pada 2007.
