Daniel Alexander Payne (24 Februari 1811 – 2 November 1893) adalah seorang uskup, pengajar, administrator perguruan tinggi dan penulis asal Amerika Serikat. Seorang pengembang besar dari Gereja Episkopal Methodis Afrika, Payne menekankan pendidikan dan persiapan para pendeta dan memperkenalkan perintah lainnya di gereja, menjadi uskup keenamnya dan menjabat selama lebih dari empat dasawarsa (1852–1893) serta menjadi salah satu pendiri Universitas Wilberforce di Ohio pada 1856.
