Dasapta Erwin Irawan

Dasapta Erwin Irawan merupakan dosen dan peneliti di Fakultas Ilmu dan Teknologi Kebumian Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) menekuni bidang hidrogeologi atau ilmu yang mempelajari air tanah dan sistem bawah permukaan. Dalam aktivitas akademiknya, ia banyak melakukan penelitian mengenai hidrogeokimia, sistem akuifer vulkanik, interaksi air tanah dengan air permukaan, serta pemanfaatan teknologi dan analisis kuantitatif untuk memahami dinamika sumber daya air.[1]
Ia dikenal sebagai salah satu pelopor gerakan sains terbuka (open science) di Indonesia. Keterlibatannya dalam gerakan ini dimulai tahun 2013 dan berkembang menjadi upaya aktif dalam mempromosikan keterbukaan akses terhadap pengetahuan, data penelitian, serta praktik komunikasi ilmiah yang lebih inklusif. Ia termasuk di antara pendukung awal dan paling vokal dalam gerakan open science di Indonesia, sehingga dijuluki Indonesia's Open Science Pioneer.[2]
Kehadiran INA-Rxiv menandai upaya awal pengembangan ekosistem pracetak ilmiah di Indonesia yang mendukung prinsip keterbukaan dalam komunikasi sains. Platform ini diprakarsai oleh Dasapta Erwin Irawan pada tahun 2017.[3][4] Sebagai sarana bagi peneliti untuk membagikan hasil riset secara cepat dan terbuka kepada masyarakat akademik. Dengan memanfaatkan infrastruktur Open Science Framework (OSF)[5], INA-Rxiv menyediakan ruang bagi berbagai disiplin ilmu untuk mendiseminasikan naskah penelitian sebelum melalui proses publikasi formal. Seiring perkembangannya, repositori ini menjadi salah satu medium penting dalam mendorong praktik sains terbuka dan memperluas akses terhadap pengetahuan ilmiah di Indonesia.[6][7]
