Deli Courant
Deli Courant adalah surat kabar paling awal yang diterbitkan di Medan. Surat kabar berbahasa Belanda ini didirikan pada 1885 dengan kantor di Kesawan. Koran ini diterbitkan dua kali dalam satu minggu, yakni pada hari Rabu dan Sabtu.[1]
Sejarah
Deli Courant didirkan pada 1885 dan menjadi koran pertama di Kota Medan. Pada 1898, Deli Courant mulai mencetak menggunakan mesin percetakan bertenaga uap. Editor pertama dari Deli Courant adalah J. Deen and P.R. van Staden ten Brink. Dari 1899 hingga 1904, W. Mulier menjadi pemimpin redaksi.[1]
