Derek peti kemas
Derek peti kemas dalam bahasa Inggris disebut container crane atau portainer adalah derek yang digunakan untuk membongkar atau memuat peti kemas dari dan ke dermaga ke kapal peti kemas atau memindahkan peti kemas dari satu tempat ketempat lain di dalam terminal peti kemas.
Peti kemas yang diangkat, dipindah adalah peti kemas ISO yang berukuran panjang 20, 40 dan 45 kaki yang dari truk chasis bergerak dibawah derek, kemudian diangkat ke atas dan kemudian ke kapal dan sebaliknya. Derek bergerak di atas rel, sehingga posisi derek hanya bisa bergerak menelusuri dermaga.
Spreader
Untuk mempercepat proses bongkar muat peti kemas digunakan perangkat yang dapat dengan cepat mengikat ataupun melepas peti kemas dari twist lock yang bisa digunakan untuk mengangkat peti kemas ukuran 20, 40 atu 45 kaki. Bahkan sekarang mulai dikembangkan spreader untuk mengangkat dua petikemas sekaligus sehingga bisa meningkatkan kecepatan bongkar muat.
