Distrik Tawang (Pron:/tɑ:ˈwæŋ or təˈwæŋ/) adalah distrik terkecil dari 16 distrik administratif di Arunachal Pradesh, timur laut India.[2] Dengan populasi sejumlah 49,977 orang,[3] distrik tersebut merupakan distrik paling padat kedelapan di negara tersebut (dari 640 distrik di India).[1]
Wilayah tersebut dulunya merupakan bagian dari Tibet dan diklaim oleh Republik Rakyat Tiongkok dan Republik Tiongkok (Taiwan).[4][5]

Menurut sensus penduduk India 2011 pada distrik Tawang, terdapat 34.920 umat Buddha, 11.842 umat Hindu, 1.164 umat Sikh, 787 Muslim, 776 umat Kristen, 72 umat Jain, 349 memilih agama lain dan 67 memilih tidak menjawab.[7]
