Douglas DC-4E adalah sebuah pesawat eksperimental sayap rendah Amerika yang dikembangkan sebelum Perang Dunia II.
DC-4E pernah masuk produksi, tetapi kegagalan menghasilkan desain yang sama sekali baru, DC-4/C-54 yang terbukti sangat sukses. Pesawat ini dibuat dari hasil pengembangan DC-4, pesawat ini aslinya adalah Pesawat penumpang sipil eksperimental yang dibuat untuk memenuhi pesanan TWA Airlines, United Airlines,[1] American Airlines dan Pan American Airways.[N 1]
Akan tetapi, karena karakteristiknya yg kurang bagus dan memuaskan, akhirnya pesawat ini batal dipesan dan dijual ke Jepang termasuk versi eksperimentalnya. Banyak fitur desain DC-4E dimasukkan dalam bomber Jepang Nakajima G5N.
