Dumnonii atau Dumnones adalah salah satu suku Britonik yang menempati Dumnonia, wilayah yang kini dikenal sebagai Cornwall dan Devon (dan beberapa wilayah di kini Dorset dan Somerset) di bagian jauh semenanjung Barat Daya pulau Britania Raya, dari setidaknya Zaman Besi hingga awal periode Saxon. Mereka berbatasan di timur dengan suku Durotriges.
Bahasa
Populasi di Dumnonia menuturkan sebuah dialek Britonik Barat Daya dari rumpun bahasa Keltik yang serupa dengan pelopor dari bahasa Kernowek dan bahasa Breton pada masa kini. Imigran dari Irlandia, suku Déisi,[1] dibuktikan dengan batu-batu bertulis Ogham yang mereka tinggalkan, dikonfirmasi dan dilengkapi oleh studi toponimi.[2] Batu-batu ini terkadang bertuliskan bahasa Latin, terkadang dalam dua aksara.[1] Tristram Risdon berpendapat sebuah dialek Britonik terus digunakan di South Hams, Devon, paling lambat hingga abad ke-14, selain digunakan di Cornwall.
