Egon Schiele (Jerman: [ˈʃiːlə] ^ⓘ 12 Juni 1890 – 31 Oktober 1918) adalah seorang pelukis Austria. Seorang protégé dari Gustav Klimt, Schiele adalah seorang pelukis figuratif utama pada awal abad ke-20. Karyanya dikenal karena intensitasnya dan seksualitas, dan beberapa lukisan diri artis yang diproduksi, termasuk lukisan diri telanjang.

Schiele lahir pada 1890 di Tulln, Austria Hilir. Ayahnya, Adolf Schiele, adalah kepala stasiun Tulln di Jalur Kereta Api Negara Austria; ibunya Marie, née Soukupová, adalah orang Ceko dari Český Krumlov (Krumau), di selatan Bohemia.^[1]

Ketika Schiele berusia 15 tahun, ayahnya meninggal karena sifilis. Guru utamanya di akademi tersebut adalah Christian Griepenkerl.
