Emily Rooney
Emily Rooney adalah pembawa acara gelar wicara Amerika Serikat sekaligus mantan produser eksekutif program berita World News Tonight with Peter Jennings di jaringan televisi ABC. Sejak Januari 1997, Rooney menjadi pembawa acara dan redaktur eksekutif program berita lokal Greater Boston di televisi WGBH, Boston.
Rooney adalah wanita pertama yang menjadi produser program berita petang di jaringan televisi Amerika Serikat. Kasus pemecatan Emily Rooney dari jabatannya sebagai produser World News Tonight dijadikan berita utama oleh surat kabar di Amerika Serikat.
Sebelum menjadi produser di ABC, Rooney dari tahun 1979 hingga 1993 bekerja di stasiun televisi WCVB, Boston. Jabatan terakhirnya adalah pengarah acara program berita. Setelah itu, dari tahun 1994 hingga 1997, Rooney bekerja di Fox Network, New York sebagai pengarah acara liputan politik dan acara khusus.
Rooney adalah anak perempuan dari Andy Rooney.
