Envisat
Envisat ("Satellite Lingkungan") adalah sebuah satelit inoperative Earth-observing yang masih dalam orbit. Ini diluncurkan pada tanggal 1 Maret 2002 kapal Ariane 5 dari Guyana Space Centre di Kourou, Guyana Prancis, menjadi orbit polar sinkron matahari pada ketinggian 790 km (490 mi) (± 10 km (6,2 mil)). Ini mengorbit Bumi dalam waktu sekitar 101 menit dengan siklus berulang dari 35 hari. Setelah kehilangan kontak dengan satelit pada tanggal 8 April 2012, ESA secara resmi mengumumkan berakhirnya misi Envisat pada 9 Mei 2012.
Envisat adalah satelit observasi Bumi sipil Badan Antariksa Eropa (ESA) terbesar dimasukkan ke ruang angkasa.
