Ernst Braches

Ernst Braches (lahir 8 Oktober 1930) adalah Nerlandikus dan sejarawan buku Belanda.

Braches adalah mantan konservator di Perpustakaan Universitas Leiden. Ia dipromosikan di Universitas Amsterdam pada tahun 1973 atas Het boek als nieuwe Kunst, dan menjadi profesor di sana. Ia juga menerima kedudukan pustakawan di Universiteitsbibliotheek van Amsterdam hingga tahun 1988.

Bersama dengan Frits Bernard, ia memimpin Dr. Frits Bernard Stichting sejak tanggal 11 Juli 1979.

Disertasinya diterbitkan kembali oleh Uitgeverij De Buitenkant dengan judul Nieuwe kunst en het Boek: Een studie in Art Nouveau (ISBN 90-76452-94-6) pada tahun 2003. Di samping esai menarik yang di luar bidangnya, seperti Engel en afgrond: Over 'The Turn of the Screw' van Henry James, dengan prakata dari Frans Kellendonk (Amsterdam, Meulenhoff, 1988) ISBN 90-290-1502-0, diterbitkan pula prosanya Nachtboog: verhalen (Meulenhoff, 1988) ISBN 90-290-3628-1.
