Ethan L. Suplee (/suːˈpliː/;[1] lahir 25 Mei 1976) adalah seorang aktor asal Amerika Serikat. Ia dikenal karena peran-perannya dalam film seperti, American History X, Blow, Remember the Titans, John Q, The Wolf of Wall Street, Cold Mountain, Without a Paddle, Unstoppable, beberapa film arahan Kevin Smith, serta sebagai Frankie dalam Boy Meets World, dan Randy Hickey dalam My Name Is Earl.

Kehidupan awal

Suplee lahir di Manhattan, New York City, putra dari Debbie dan Bill Suplee. Orang tuanya adalah aktor yang bertemu saat tampil di teater musim panas dan tampil di Broadway.[2] Pada acara Your Welcome, Ethan menyatakan bahwa dia putus sekolah pada usia 14 tahun.

Kehidupan pribadi

Sejak 2006, Suplee telah menikah dengan Brandy Lewis, adik perempuan dari aktris dan penyanyi Juliette Lewis. Ia adalah seorang Scientologist.[3]

Pada Maret 2011, Suplee tampil di TMZ di TV, setelah kehilangan berat badan lebih dari 91 kg. Ia menyebutkan dalam podcastnya, American Glutton, bahwa berat badan terberatnya adalah 240 kg dan berat badan teringannya adalah 100 kg.[4] Ia menganggap bersepeda membantunya tetap bugar, menjelaskan "Saya naik sepeda di jalan raya, saya naik sepeda di jalan biasa". Ia pernah mencapai titik terendah sepanjang masa, yaitu 9% lemak tubuh, tetapi berat badannya kembali naik setelah menyadari bahwa berat badan yang dulu merupakan sumber peluang akting.[5]
