Ethel Maude Warwick (13 Oktober 1882 – 12 September 1951) adalah seorang aktris panggung asal Inggris. Dia kemudian muncul di beberapa film.[1]
Biografi
Ethel Maude Warwick adalah putri dari Frank dan Maude, lahir di Hardingstone, Northampton pada tanggal 13 Oktober 1882. Pendidikannya dimulai di Margate dan Hampstead, tetapi pada awal 1890-an dia belajar untuk menjadi seorang seniman di Politeknik London. Dia menjadi seniman model untuk membantu membayar uang sekolahnya di sana, yang mengarah ke pertemuannya Herbert Draper, yang menggunakannya sebagai model untuk beberapa lukisannya, termasuk The Lament for Icarus.[2] Melalui hal tersebut ia menjadi model favorit untuk beberapa seniman, termasuk John William Godward, yang melukis beberapa potret dirinya, dan Linley Sambourne, ia berpose telanjang dalam serangkaian studi fotografi .[3] Dia juga dibuat sketsa oleh James McNeill Whistler.
